I really need to make some cash for my wedding, so I'm lowering the price for the laptop. This would make a good Christmas present and it's a great deal. Check out the specs here:

Please let me know if you're interested.

Under Garments (Womens slips)

My Grandma lives in a tiny town 3 hours away and she needs help finding slips. You know, the knee-length, old fashioned slips that you wear under dresses, what courtney love thinks are skirts? Yeah those, in skin color. I guess girls are not using them anymore and she can't find them in her lil bitty town. I have tried Target, JC Penney, Wal-Mart, Dollar General/Family Dollar, Big Lots, most Dept. stores and nothing! Anyone seen any in the past week? I would appreciate it so, so much!!! Thanks!!

veronica

PS. I live south! &Away from the malls if possible but if that's the only place then help me God, I'll do it for my Grandma.
lol, thanks again!

Austin Job with local non-profit for a licensed counselor

Hi all,

I work for an employee assistance program here in Austin. We are currently looking for an LPC or LMSW for a full time salary position as a trainer in our organization. The position consists of development and implementation of a wide range of business applicable courses (stress management; team building, management training, dealing with difficult employees, etc). The majority of the training is done in Texas with some out of state travel required. Dependable personal transportation a must.

We're a non-profit, so the salary isn't huge to start. But you do get a week of personal time, 2 weeks vacation and 12 sick days a year. Insurance, dental, vision, 401K after a year with 5% company match. There is also an opportunity to make a 10% commission on some trainings that you would sell to established customers (ie, no cold calling).

Must be a licensed counselor with a current license. Non-smoker or ex-smoker preferred, as some trainings are smoking cessation programs.
During the interview, you will be required to give a power point presentation on a professional topic of your choosing, such as those I mentioned earlier.

Send resume to aalexander@alliancewp.com

There hasn't been a post in a while, so I thought I'd contribute.

I just recently started browsing the communities here, and a lot of them are gamer girls and girls only... kind of dumb if you ask me. I do understand why it could be an issue, but one community talked about how you can't really talk to a guy about a game. Uhh, okay?

So I wound up here. I'm a geek, a gamer geek to be specific. My intelligence is here, it's just been disappearing for the last five years due to my love of video games. It's not all I do, but it has taken me away from something called a book.

I figured I'd reach out to people and ask if anyone wanted to play an online game sometime? Diablo 1 or 2, Starcraft, Warcraft 3, Titan Quest, Guild Wars, Sacred (just started playing this), etc. - I'm all for it. Or if someone feels like diving into discussions about great (and nostalgic) classic games, I'd enjoy that as well.

Yay geeks!

south Austin storage?

I'm looking for a decent, not too expensive place to rent a 5x10 or 10x10 storage space. It's not temporary: we'll be using it for a long time to free up the garage as workspace so I can't go with anyplace super-expensive, like South Lamar Storage. I also don't want a place that tends to get broken into or is managed poorly. Anyone have any recommendations or warnings? Thanks very much.

nw austin ATT wireless users?

i'm curious if anyone here lives in the area of 620 between boulder drive and 2222 and is an att wireless customer that has been having call stability issues. if you fall into this please send me a message or something as i am trying to convince them there is a network issue out here causing dropped calls and sometimes the inability to initiate calls without several attempts during peak traffic hours specifically between 4pm and 7pmish.

Docter

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good primary care doctor for me. Somewhere in the box of campus to 51st and Mopac to I35. I am a 34 year old male. Would be primarily orthopaedic issues. And I was planning on getting Scott and White insurance. I think I would prefer a woman but that isn't the most important thing. Mostly I would like someone who listens longer than 10 seconds before stating a diagnosis and who doesn't think medication is always the first and best solution.

Thank you!

BAKICILJDWFB: dog with diabetes

One of my parents' miniature Schnauzers, Pepper, was just diagnosed with diabetes. He's at the pet hospital for now. But once he is released, I am wondering what treatment regimen will be required. (I have diabetes, so I know in general, but I don't know if there are significant differences for treatment in dogs.) Will you share your experience?
